When I got my post at AF Louw Primary as the library teacher I was out of my depth.  I knew absolutely nothing about libraries except how to use it. My first task was to move our library from a manual system to an electronic system.  I was scared, because I was not tech savvy.  

Barbara of ProLib took me under her wing and taught me, not only how to use the program, but also how to run the library.  Because I was not very tech savvy I made a couple of mistakes and messed up my program, but all I had to do was phone Jackie and Mr Fixit came or told me how to fix it.    

The library was running so well that my principal entrusted me with capturing the school's textbooks on the ProText system.  This time I was confident, because I knew I would have the ProGen team behind me.

I can report to my superiors at any given time with anything regarding the library or the school's textbooks.  The textbook reports made it easy for us, with minimal effort, to show the Department the control that we have on the exact number of textbooks and their condition in our school. 

My library runs like a well oiled machine and it is easy enough for my library prefects to do it.  

Both Barbara and Jackie became more than my job savers.  For me they are friends.
